Hi all,
I've just started using NX 8.5 to do some analysis work on composite parts, and I'm having a bit of difficulty understanding how to use the "laminate" tools.
Here's what I've been doing.
1. Model a part - Solid
2. Then go to the "Advanced Simulation" tab
3. New FEM and Simulation - Select Nastran solver
4. Laminate toolbar - Make a laminate through the "Laminate Physical" tab - Defining thickness, ply angle, materials
Then when I click the "Global Update" button on the Laminate toolbar I get an error box saying "ERROR A laminate physical property must be assigned to a 2D mesh collector".
What on earth is a 2D Mesh collector?
Does anyone have any tutorials on creating laminates in NX. I've done a web search for videos, pdfs, lectures and I've come up with nothing.
Regards
Will.
