Hi,

I need to generate surfaces on a bunch of shapes which I have imported via spline from file. Some are by poles as they are rectangles and triangles, and some are through points.

I am able to use macros to pull in all of the shapes, and to create surfaces on the circular shapes using the sheet from curves tool. This tool does not seem to work on rectangular shapes however. I am able to generate surfaces on the rectangular shapes using the bounded plane tool, but I have to do these individually.

The macro functionality for bounded planes seems to not work reliably. I think this is because when I put it into a macro and try to select my shape with a "mouse click" it doesn't actually select my shape.

Can anyone offer help with this, or is there a different way to add a surface to a 1st degree spline by poles? I don't want to make all of the thousands of surfaces by hand.

Thanks

What version of NX?

Can you post a sample part file(s) that shows a few examples of what you are starting with and what you want to end up with?

Based on a previous post, he is using NX7.5, so it looks like Journaling may be a better fit for this.

I am using NX 7.5, but I cannot use a bounded plane feature with journaling.
