I am doing a simulation in which I need to apply rotation of 10000 rpm to a ring. I have taken a 1 deg part of ring and not the whole 360 deg.

When I do the simulation, the result which I get is not correct as I think because its getting bending in Y direction instead of like getting expanded in Z direction. As we can imagine like when we spin something, it gets centrifugally in outward direction. In my case it should expand in Z.

Its not working with me. Here is what I am saying about result I get. It is bending in Y and not get outwards in Z.

The result is undeformed and deformed view.

Please help me out.

Hi,

I have just tested with linear static solution, a cylindrical constraint, and a rotation of 10000rpm. It seems possible.

About the cylindrical constrainton the entire structure , you need to fixed the theta and Z axis, only allow to expand in R axis.

Kind regards,
Tuw
