I would like to start some small automated projects in NX 7 using NX Open w/ VB.Net and I have a few questions. I am assuming my company would have to purchase that license then I would get the .net class libraries and I would have to install those in the Visual Studios IDE directories?? Is this assumption correct? Also what about the training manuals are there any for coding examples on how to accomplish the basic functions using VB.net in NX7?

Thanks.

You'll need the .NET Authoring license to be able to execute .NET .dll within NX.
I just reference the NXOpen libraries into a template and usually start from there for any new application.
Assuming you're familiar with .NET programming, there're about 700 .NET for NX pieces of code available in the GTAC library plus the old API stuff which can be easily understood.
Good luck!

I joined GTAC and I did find some GRIP info but I did not find the .net library? Would you have that link handy?

Thanks!

This is the Solution Center Advanced Search but you need a webkey number to log in.

Once there, type '.NET' in the search field to list all the .NET related modules

Got it, thank you!
