Which is the lates version in NX?
which are the NX versions in the last 5 years?
Is there a NX 1981 version?

Which is the lates version in NX? NX2011

which are the NX versions in the last 5 years?
Below are the major releases from the last 5 years.

NX12 - released October 2017
NX1847 - released Dec 2018
NX1872 - released June 2019
NX1899 - released Dec 2019
NX1926 - released June 2020
NX1953 - released Dec 2020
NX1980 - released June 2021
NX2007 - released Dec 2021

From NX1847, there are monthly updates for a major release, until the next major release.
So for NX1847 series there was monthly updates.
NX1851 - Jan 2019
NX1855 - Feb 2019
NX1859 - Mar 2019
NX1863 - April 2019
NX1867 - May 2019

Then major release NX1872 came in June 2019, the updates for NX1847 stop and the updates started for NX1872 in July 2019.

At the moment, NX2007 is the current major release. NX2011 is the first monthly update, so the current latest version of NX.


Is there a NX 1981 version? No

I have no words to thank you for the fast answer!.................

Last version NX I used (before I switch to Catia V5 and 3DEX) was NX 9.0
Are there big differences between NX 9.0 and NX 12?
What chances would I have to take successfully an NX (current version) simply test (let's say, a sketch, a bracket or a rotation part, a drawing file)?

NX9 and NX12 are very similar, so there shouldn't be a big learning curve.

if you make the jump to 1926 or newer, it's an all-new Sketcher. you have to forget everything you knew about NX sketching.

I will disable the new sketcher such that the "it" can get a few NX versions to mature before we switch.
- I know there was some software company that named their first version 2.3 or something similar since they knew nobody would install V1.0
My impressions so far are similar...

File - Utilities - Early access Features - Use the new solver and UI for sketching.
