We just upgraded to NX11.0.0.33 from NX9 and seem to have an issue with customer defaults.
We make a change to the defaults exit NX restart NX and all is good.
If we log off and back on, the defaults are reset.
Has anyone experienced this?

Where are you storing the defaults file?
Do you have sufficient access to change the dpv file?

I always wondered how this restarting of NX is working in this case...is it really rereading the Customer Defaults file ? or is taking the values from the Temp folder.

why 11.0.0 and not 11.0.2 ?

Have you, in the customer defaults dialog ( in the top) the option to choose between Site/group/user ?

The Site , if existing, is defined by a Windows variable UGII_SITE_DIR
The Group , if existing, is defined by UGII_GROUP_DIR

and if ONLY "User" exists, none of the two variables exists on your system.
( You can also define UGII_USER_DIR if you want to place your settings somewhere else, on a server for example.
else they will be stored under "C:\Users\Tomas\AppData\Local\Siemens\NX110")

After that, it is windows access rights which rules.

I.e I am the site NX admin.
i set the UGII_SITE_DIR= \\server-x\nxconfig110\ on ALL computers which will run NX as a system, not user variable.
then i make sure that I have write access (windows) to that directory and the users only read access.

Then , in NX, i change to "site" when adjusting the customer defaults.
those changes will apply to all users.
The users can override my settings by adjusting "User" customer defaults.
But I can lock all settings or individual settings in the "site" settings preventing the users to override.

Tomas

Search through your NX log file and look for .dpv
The dpv files are where customer defaults should be set.

Also what sort of defaults are you setting & how?
