I have a family part of cylinders I created. These bodies do not have the correct insides so if I assign a material to the cylinder, it makes the weight much too heavy. I had to give the bodies a density to make the weight right.

If I do a Measure Body, the weights come out fine. But weight column on the assembly navigator always says 0.000 KG.

How do you get the assembly navigator weight column to read the weight of the bodies?

I do not know your NX version, - I do know that the below functionality was added somewhere in the later years.

If you have the license, you can set "Assert Mass" through the Advanced Mass Properties,
And you can add "Asserted Mass" as a column to you part family spreadsheet.

Asserted mass will be visible in the assembly navigator. "Weight"

Thanks for the replies.

Saturday before I went home, I did a test. Now I dont remember if I cut the bodies out and pasted them in again or if I exported parasolids and imported them back in. But for some reason when I did that, it updated the weights in the navigator. I didnt think this would be just a glitch in the system but thats what I am marking it down as. lol Maybe it was some attribute added to the bodies at one point that caused confusion or something. Either way I figured that out and just saved and shut down and went home. lol
