Does anyone know if it is possible to store two different versions of NX in Teamcenter (9.1.3.6)? In this case NX4 and NX5. Our corporate standard is NX4 but I moved up to NX5 when GM did, and I have thoroughly gone through my modeling automation parts with the new functions in NX5. My support person indicates that there is a problem with the different assembly structures.

You should be able to, but in asking the question I'd investigate the opportunity to set up two different logins to what can be quarantined as different areas within a database (I think) because it may have the advantage of not getting on top of other users.

On the other hand ideally there is every reason to think that resolving this would be far simpler if the entire organisation kept up with recent releases, since it is hard to think of anything that works in NX-4 that won't work in NX-5.

Unfortunately I work for an enormous worldwide organization that I am the smallest of cogs in. The CAD decisions are made in Germany by a steering committee that will not accept any English speaking members. My last communication with them indicated that they might implement NX6 late third quarter '10. You can imagine my glee.

The login with NX4 will be useless! You won’t be able to open any parts in the NX4 version anyway. Unless your opening old files.
