The feature positioning dimension text color is controlled by the value of the dimension text color used in dimensions in drafting.
1. To change the positioning dimension text, open the Customer Defaults File. Once defaults window is open, pick on Drafting, then Annotation. Now pick the Lettering tab. In the Dimension Text section, pick on the color swatch shown and pick your new color. Pick OK to save the change and exit. Close the current NX session and restart NX to see the modification.
2. Start a new part and place features, the positioning dimension text will now show the new color. If you have an existing part, the positioning dimension text color can be modified. To modify the text color, start the Drafting Application. If using the master modeling concept (no drawings in the same file as the model), press cancel on the Insert Sheet dialog window (you just need to be in the Drafting application).
Now pick Preferences(top of screen), Annotation, pick the Lettering tab, now pick the Load Defaults button at the bottom right hand of the box to load settings from the modified Customer Defaults File. If needed, pick the Dimension button under Lettering Types to see the new text color. Pick OK to save settings.
If you create new parts from seed parts, you need to apply the procedure for existing parts as described in section 2.
We are running NX4 along with TeamCenter Engineering. This also works with NX3.
