NX5 Symbol Question 1

I am in drafting and need to add the symbol <S> for a material callout. When I view it on the print, it shows as the symbol for "regardless of feature size". How do you override the system to prevent an automatic symbol from being created in Text Input?

Put a '$' in front of the '<S>' and this will override the generation of a special symbol.
