NX 6.0.5.3

I know that the 'Alerts' are supposed to be more informative, but is there a 'help section' on available alerts ?

I have a 3D Centerline that is retained. When I double-click on it I see the alert ... "Remove Retained Associativity Handles !"

What is that actually asking me to do ?

Simply reselecting a cylindrical face, and I get an "Update failure list".

One thing to keep in mind, you do NOT have to acknowledge 'alerts'. They are informational and while many of them provide feedback as to why some operation cannot yet be completed as specified, some of them consist of just feedback and nothing more. Since NX 6.0 was the first release to use 'Alerts' we are still learning exactly when and what we should be using them for as well as the types and contents of the messages. Sometimes they are just passing something up from the code and it's not always that useful, which is some of the things that we're trying to clean-up with future releases. NX 7.0 and NX 7.5 should have better and more meaningful feedback.
