In NX6: I'm trying to limit the motion of an over-center link in an assembly. It needs to be free to fold, but not past 180°. Is this possible with Assembly Constraints? Can you define an upper/lower bound for an expression? Thanks!

You could create a 'Measurement' expression of say the angle and then test the value so that it stays within the desired rnage.

I tried that, but it's not dynamic when you move the assembly. I've worked out another solution, but I have a new question:

Is there a way to make an expression step through a range of values, say from 0 to 1, aside from manually doing it and recording your actions with a macro? Is there a slider/animation bar that I can hook to an expression? You can do it in Catia, so I'm really frustrated that I can't find it in UG.

Starting with NX 8.0 you will be able to create Attributes using a scheme like that (explicit values, upper/lower limits, etc.) and these can then be used to drive expressions.

Aww crap. Really? That's a bummer. Guess I'll have to go back to macros for now...
