Hello,

I need to generate an associative tangency point between 2 surfaces.
I've tried to intersect their bodies, and the command fails.
I assume it is due to the nature of the expected output, it expects a curve, whereas in this case it is a point.

Intersection point between two surfaces/bodies is neither supported by the associative point inputs.

Is there any associative workaround for this case in NX6?

Thanks for your help beforehand,

Best regards,

Actually is the last step of little bit wider problem.
I want to have an associative minimum distance line between a point and a surface.

I've figured out how to reduce it, to have an associative tangency point between 2 surfaces (actually any surface and a sphere).

I attach an NX6 file, where the objective is to have an associative minimum distance line between the point and the surface.

(The associative distance measurement and sphere, are meant to help on the process).

Best regards,

Dear members,

Just in case anybody runs into the same need.
I've developed a Beta version of an associative minimum distance line with KF as a knowledge feature.
So, it is 99% possible.
Further testing is required.
