Is there a way to save the settings that I have at my workstation to the customer defaults file,
instead of editing the customer defaults in File > Utilities > Customer Defaults ?

The so-called 'customer default' file (.dpv) ONLY contains the DIFFERENCES between what you have set using the...

File -> Utilities -> Customer Default...

...dialogs and what the out-of-the-box 'defaults' would be (you sort of get a sense of that since when you enter Customer Defaults, the 'OK' button is grayed-out until actually change something). Therefore, the ONLY logical place to even present the idea that you're 'saving' your Customer Defaults is from within Customer Defaults itself because if you NEVER go there, then there is NOTHING to even save.

I hope that's clear.

Are you talking about taking the changes you have made on your computer (user level) and making them the values of your group (group or site level)?
