NX7.5 3D ANNOTATION

Hi, I am trying to add notes to components via PMI whereby you pick on the specific component and it automatically labels the corresponding part number from the assembly navigator in a 3D model view. Any idea if this is possible? Thanks

Hi,
Since i am working on NX8/8.5 so can not confirm if it is there on NX7.5 also but we do have Part identification Pmi symbol you can attach.
I am attaching a picture herewith.Hope this works for you.

Yes, the 'Part Identification' PMI object is available in NX 7.5, in the same place as Kapil showed for NX 8.0.

Hi Guy's,

I have tried using the PART IDENTIFICATION command but this only seems to give me the assembly number and not the specific part within the assembly.

Where am i going wrong ?

Hi,
Just make the component a work part in the assembly and then use the PMI PART IDENTIFICATION.

Now i understand and get the result i was after, however this will be very time consuming if you have many parts to annotate within the assembly.
