When I create a solid block using the two diagonal points method, it keeps the diagonal points as parents for the solid is there a way to shut that off? Also once I have created the solid block with the diagonal points method if I try to edit its size using origin and edge lengths, the solid automatically defaults back to 100 x 100 x 100 instead of listing the size of the block as it currently sits. Is here a way to see its keep its current size?

Thanks,
Ryan

Prior to NX 6.0 (NX 5.0 in the case of the Cylinder), the so-called 'Primitive' features were not Associative to their construction method. That is, irrespective of the creation 'Type' selected, the actual feature would be created using the most basic format possible, which in the case of a Block was by assigning X,Y,Z lengths, a Cylinder, the length and diameter, a Sphere, just the diameter, etc.

Starting with NX 6.0 (NX 5.0 for Cylinder), the 'Primitive' features were now being created like ANY OTHER FEATURE where the creation type IS actually part of the definition of the feature. In the case of creating a Block by two points, the points are now what the feature is saving, NOT the size of the resulting Block. It's the same with a Cylinder or a Sphere where you used the Arc option, the diameter is NO longer being saved but rather the arc itself is defining the size.
