NX7.7 Unable To Select Point On Components Of An Assembly? 1

When in an assembly I would like to add lines and/or arcs, but unable to select points on components. Am I missing something because I used to be able to do this in NX4.

While creating your Lines/Arcs, make sure that 'Selection Scope' (on the Selection Bar) is set to 'Entire Assembly'.

Try changing the selection filter to "Entire Assembly" (see image)
