NX7 Drafting views will not display recently added components

I'm using NX7.0.0.9 on a Win7 32-bit PC.
Recently I've been making copies of our in-process, manufacturing drawing files as visual aids to our machine setup documentation.
With the new drawings I remove most of the dimensions, and add components such as tooling, and fixturing, positioned in the proper orientation of the machine, in this case a lathe.
I have a very simple assembly right now that I've added two components; a set of lathe jaws, and a model representing material that will be trepanned out for another part. I've done this probabply a hundred times without incident, but for some reason this one will not display the new components no matter what I try.
I've checked the Reference Set (tried both Model, and Entire Part). No change after updating.
I've tried View Dependant Edit and Deleted All Edits (there where none).
I've tried updating views by selecting each view on the graphics screen and right clicking then selecting Update (there has been a few times that using the "clock" or global update in the Part Navigator hasn't updated views completely).

Oddly enough, when I add a new base view to the same sheet as the views that will not show them, all the new components appear and behave properly during updates (within the new base view only). The original views still won't display the new components.

Any ideas?

What layer(s) are the new components on? Check the 'visible in view' option to make sure those layers are visible in the view in question.

I agree with Cowski.
In the assembly navigator:
rmc (right mouse click) on a component > properties > assembly > under the "layer option", make sure it is what you want it should be,
maybe compare the setting for the newly added component to what the other components are.

Visible-in-view is usually what drives me crazy when views don't update.

Okay, it's working now.

All my component models were on Layer 1. No problem there.

I used Command Finder to search Visible in View. One of the commands available below Layer Visible in View was Show Components in View.
I selected it and selected the new components. Upon updating they finally appeared in one view, the Right view. The right view was being used to supply a Revolved Section View.
I re-established the section lines, using the new components. With the new Cut Section Segments established, I performed a global update and everything appeared.

I happy it works now. I just wonder why it behaved differently than every other time I've used it. This was the first time I've ever used the Show Components in View command.

In any event, thanks for your help!
