NX7/Okuma OSP7000 Communication

I am trying to send my NC programs from NX7 to our Okuma mill via RS232 cable. What is required in order to get the two to send and receive?

It would not usually be a CAD question. This is to do with how the machine communicates with file storage on a server. Contact your Okuma representative and they should be able to advise.

You need the following

1 - an RS232 cable with the correct cable wiring for OKUMA
2 - DNC transfer software CIMCOedit/DNC etc
3 - Matching protocol parameters in the Host PC and the OKUMA

That is about it really
