as a previous user of NE/Nastran with femap I was used to check the total weight of a mesh by just selecting all the elements.
Each element whether a beam, shell or solid has got material properties assigned (and of course densities) and I thought it was something easy to check for NX to sum up all element (volumes x densities).
it seems that it can be done only for solid elements.
but what about shells and beams elements (obviously their volume can also be calculated) ?
I can't find anywhere a similar tool (using NX8.5) . Am I missing something ?

Hello!,
Add in the BULK DATA the command PARAM,GRDPNT,0 and NX NASTRAN solver will write in the *.F06 the mass.
Best regards,
Blas.

thank you very much!
it also worked fine using the following command in the menu information/advanced simulation/solid properties check/ and selecting meshes.
