I really want my settings to come from my Templates not from the standard.

I've changed this field to "Use settings from drawing template" and it works for that session only. It won't "stick" and I can't find it anywhere in Customer Defaults.

Can anyone help?

TIA

Dave

Perhaps you need to actually change this in the template file, not just in the drawing you are working in? If you open the template file make the preference change, and then save the preference, every new drawing created from that template should be good to go. Any drawings created from a template that did not have this set will need to be changed and saved individually, as you have been. At least I know some settings work like this; I'm not 100% sure whether this is one of them.

I have run into this as well and the only thing I can surmise from my past experience is that it isn't consistent. Perhaps I'm doing something wrong. I tried using a template part file but went back to starting from a "blank" file which mainly uses customer defaults. If I remember correctly there were some settings in part file preferences that were not limited sessions which really confounded me why they would do that. At any rate, I start my new files with blank, which has all my preferences and settings I like, and proceed from there.

Did you also changed it in the pax files?

Best regards,
