I would like to know why you would pick one over the other.
Here is what I've found out so far:
Square is better than O-ring in static applications. (Good high pressure seal)
Quad is better than O-ring in dynamic applications. (Less pressure required, anti rolling)
Each ring seems to be better than a flat gasket (Less pressure required)
Now aside from cost, is there really a reason to use the traditional O-ring or gasket still?
Given same material/hardness/seal application/etc unless there is a valid difference on selection between one ring or the other.
Perhaps a description and example applications would be useful.
If enough people respond I will start adding their input to this post to keep as much information as possible at the top of the thread.
