The facility in question hits all the triggers for being a Occupancy Category II, but I'm not sure about the dental x-ray equipment. My thought is that since the x-ray equipment is self-contained not "facility containted" that we would be OK with II and not 3, but I'm looking for another quick opinion.

X-ray machines are electrically driven, produce ionizing radiation only for very brief periods (in milliseconds), and would present no radiation hazard once the power is removed or the machine is switched off. Is that the nature of your concern?

Yeah - that pretty much sums up my concern and tells me what I need to know. Thanks
