Oceans will get more acidic

One of the persistent tropes is that oceans are getting more acidic due to higher levels of atmospheric CO2 (they start pretty alkaline so this in itself is a curious choice of language). This will be devastating for marine life, such as fish and shellfish. However...

So almost all major animal types initially evolved when CO2 ppm was vastly higher than today.

One would think that increasing sea temps would reduced dissolved gasses and lower the acidity if CO2 were a contributing factor.

On a side note, alkalinity is very destructive to the lipids that form cellular membranes.
 
The oceans likely have to get a lot hotter for that to occur in any significant fashion. Catch the following:
