OIL filled Portable Sub 1

Does anyone have experience with OIL filled transformers underground?

I have a customer (Indonesia) that would like to use oil filled xfmr's (FR3 or equivelent) in their portable substations. Being from Canada, where Dry type is the standard (as far as I know) I am not familiar with what type of oil filled is best for a mining application (conservator/sealed tank, etc..).

The xfmr would be 300kVA 3.3kV-690Kv 50Hz...

tulum: not much expereince with oil filled transformers (all ours are dry as they are in most u/g places I've worked)-we did try and install oil filled capacitors u/g but had major problems with authorities- they wanted them treated same as a transformer- building code rules came into effect(i.e. needed an equipment vault, containment, exhaust provisions in case of fire, etc etc)-it became a major pain until after the capacitors were sitting u/g for a year without being energized the same company found dry type at the required voltage level - they may not have the same rules but suggest you look at CSA M-421(Use of Electricity in Mines) then Building Code requirements for a vault -it may not be worth it & dry type much easier to deal with -shouldn't be a problem getting a portable sub for them with those parameters(300kva etc)
