I have a complex shape on my hands that is giving me trouble, see attached pictures and file:

Here is the picture with explanation:

and the solidworks part file is also attached. I just cant seem to get the right lofted cut, thanks in advance for the help...

Recommended for you

You're going to have to dig into your surfacing toolkit to fix this model. It shouldn't pose too many problems, just play around with deleting faces and filling them up again. The final solution will depend upon your design criteria.

I will look into the surface tool kit, any idea what tool in particular would do the trick?

Im still having trouble with it, I deleted the faces I dont want but I am unsure how to loft the edges back together....

I'm not 100% sure what you're trying to accomplish.

Try: Select the face, add a sketch with the lines, go to the mold toolbar, split-line, then delete the face.

I just need to trim this face where i have the line here, then i can worry about re-lofting

I got it, by adjusting my lofted cuts, never could figure out the face surfacing....

no that didnt do the trick either.... odd, some of those surface commands dont give good results....
