ok to glue nitrile o-ring?

Hi All.
I'd be grateful for your thoughts on this issue...

Nitrile o-ring is slipping so we figure we could just tack it in place with a few spots of Loctite.

Risks/concerns?

If it's loose enough to be slipping wouldn't lack of adequate compression for sealing be a bigger concern?

It really depends on the application! You need to send some more information so we can give you an informed answer! If it is a static oring the answer can be yes but then why not use a smaller oring? Send a drawing perhaps and some commentary!
