Hi, ALL:

I am doing an assembly thermal analysis with ANSYS workbench 10.0. I find I cannot make the mesh among different parts are smoothly transition - which bring wrong solution.

Anyone knows how to handle it (mesh compatible among parts)?

Thanks

Hello,

you should either glue the volumes together or define contact elements on the interface.

Hello,
As Alex said, you should either glue the volumes or define contact elements on the interface. Here is another way, constrain equation. This method usually is used when there are some bolts on the interface.

Thanks for all - where is the glue function in workbench?

PS, I got them from soldiworks.

Hi, ALL:

Just want to update - I solve this issue.

The method is all the components in the assembly into a part in ANSYS. Then the mesh will be smoothly transition between different components.

Thanks for all the help
