Does anyone know if there's an on/off toggle command or hot key for "Object Name Display" ? This is found under Preferences, Visualization, Names/Borders in NX5.

Thanks,
James

The only practical way to do this would be to create a Macro or Journal and assign it to an Icon or menu item where you could then define a hot-key to activate it.

Thanks for the reply John.
I'm trying to find a single command which would toggle this setting on & off to keep from having one for on & them a different one off. I guess I'm being too picky.

Thanks again for your help.

OK, attached is a VERY SIMPLE GRIP program which when run will check to see if Name Display is currently OFF and if so, will 'toggle' it ON, but if it's ON it will 'toggle' it OFF. So you will only need to add a single icon to a toolbar or menu item to a pull-down menu which when you select it will switch (Toggle) the Name Display state. Note that if you add it to a Menu item you can also use the Customize tools to program a shortcut or 'hot-key' so that you can make it even easier to switch ON & OFF the Name Display status.

Anyway, have fun.

Thanks very much John!
Nice of you to whip out a custom GRIP so quickly.
It worked perfectly, very cool!
