I just recieved a pre contract package that required providing "10 hour OSHA certificate", along with documentation of safety progarm, training and meeting subjects. of this 20 page questionaire 15 were related to safety program.

I would like to hear how others have complied.

I have only had my company a year and my past 30 years have been with major company that had the program, but the majority of training and meetings were provided by customers.

Ask for an exemption. Tell them that you will follow their established safety program and the you follow OSHA requirements in your activities.

Ron, that is what I have been doing to date. the contract admistrator that requested me simple wrote a note similair to your statement and those lines were struck out and initialed.

it was just this new customer has requested that I comply. This customer uses a third party vendor verification service with emphasis on liability.

for the service requested in November, I declined, but wanted to pursue becoming approved with them.

google the OSHA 10 hour course, take it and get your certification, then write a safety progrm modeled after the course.

I used to teach the course. Now I have a client that requires me to take it, so I'm scheduled to take it. I plan to have some really difficult Crossword and Soduku puzzles to keep me from losing my mind.

On the other hand, when they asked if I had a safety plan, I sent them the attached.
