Look for a filename ?.sys in a backup or temp folder. AutoCAD often stores multiple backup files in a temporary directory.

Forgot to add that you might set your autobackup rate for a minute or two from the tools>options menu.

My ACAD stores .bak files in the same directory as the .dwg. Check there, but you can just as quickly search the hard drive or network drives for "filename.bak". Change suffix, to change "filename.bak" into "filename.dwg". Open as normal, only data entered since last autosave won't be there, everything else will be.

I'm sorry, but it is against the rules to give you your homework. I suggest creating one on your own. Good luck to you.

Hi

I agree with ctopher your homework is yours to do. If the problem is with your own computor then explain that to your teacher. Be honest and say that you will get it sorted. Ask for an extension and get an agreed deadline from them and do it. In the real world these things happen and you have to put the effort in. If they see you are committed I am pretty sure they will help. For future it would pay to make a Backup of your work so this is an important lesson to learn. If the problem was with the schools computer its for them to sort it out and not your problem.
