I have a raft foundation and a 44 story building with only shear walls as vertical elements and I am using ACI318M-11, I checked the punching shear of these shear walls as the following picture shows, I took Pu (the ultimate vertical load on the shear wall) to find the effective thickness d. (if i don't want any shear reinforcement in the raft i took ØVc = Pu and found d.

For one-way shear I used equation 11-3 from the code to calculate ØVc as shown below

My qusetion is (if I don't want any shear reinforcement) do I compare ØVc with Pu (vertical ultimate load on the shear walls)?

in the below attachment there is my excel sheet for my calculation I hope you take a look at it (d is not realistic I am sure that there is something wrong) and there is a drawing of the mat foundation attached below

Please post a plan of your building showing the walls and the extent of the raft.

I changed the attachment link and added the .dwg drawing for the mat foundation.

I forgot to add that there is a groupe of pile under the mat foundation of 0.8 m diameter and having a distribution of 10x15 (rectangular distribution)
