I am considering using this op amp in a power supply design. OPA544T


The specs say it has a 2A minimum output current. Can someone clarify what "minimum" stands for.

It means that if you need 2.1A, some of the chips might do it, but don't bother calling the manufacturer if the ones you bought won't.

In other words, "...up to a maximum of at least 2.0 A".
