Hi TuanTH,

I think you probably has the translator template "corrupted" (step203ugnullnx120_mm.prt/step214ugnullnx120_mm.prt or in inches step203ugnullnx120_in.prt / step214ugnullnx120_in.prt). You need to replace this file with the original. Or you can open the file and delete these "trash part".

Hi Javi

I tried to open other steps files but still get this problem. I know i can delete the trash part but it appears in every single assembly in a big assembly so it is so time comsuming to delete it one by one.

Hi Tuan,

When I say "Or you can open the file and delete these "trash part", Im referring to the template file (step203ugnullnx120_mm.prt). Have you opened this template file? You can find it in the STEP203UG or STEP214UG folder on the NXinstallation folder.

When you import a Step/DXF/DWG/IGES etc file , NX will, this is invisible to the user, load a template part* and import the data from the STEP/DXF/IGES etc. file into this part file.
It will also rename the template part to the name you enter.

I think the original intention was that the users should load and configure these templates but I think that very few does this.

The template parts are located in the installation directories ( Unless somebody has mapped these directories to somewhere else, that too is possible.)
I.e "C:\programfiles\siemens\nx-x\step214UG\" or \Step213UG\ or \dxfdwg\ or ....
In these directories there are these template parts, for example the "step214ugnull_mm.prt" .
load that into NX and delete this component.

Tomas

Hi Tomas

That is exactly what I wanted to say. But because of my poor English, I have not managed to make myself understood. Thanks for clarifying.
