opening contour flange

Does anyone know the best way to open a contoured flange?
We are a tooling shop, I am tring to lay a contour flange open on the first die, then come back and flange it up in a secondary die.

That is what the 'Unbend/Rebend' functions are used for.

It seems to only work if its planer not on a contour or sweeping

Note that the Que line asks you to "Select non-thickness planar face or linear edge to remain fixed while part is unbent".
