I can't open .plt files in autocad r14. I get an error message that reads, "Can not find the specified drawing. Please verify that the file exists." I am going into explorer to open this file so I know that it's there. Am I missing something? [sig][/sig]

Given that it's a plot file, why do you want to open it? What do you want to do with the file?

there is a couple of ways to do this but first was it created with an hpgl or hpgl2 device to be able to open it in one of the 2 ways you would have to have used an hpgl device to creat the plot file now for the nity grity
1 use the express tool "convert plt to dwg" you will only have this feature if you have volume 9 of the express tools for acad 2000

2 if you have corel draw some times i can get corel to open plt files and i can then save as dxf or dwg depending one the version of corel draw

PLT files are nothing more than postscript files (PS). You can open them with GhostScript or convert them to PDFs using Distiller. You can also print PLTs from a command line

copy /b FILE1.PLT LPT1
