ORB initialization timed out (IDEAS NX 10)

all was working fine, but, system administrator remove my machine from a domain and put it on a workgroup and change the machine name in windows properties.

now, i´m having this error when i try to import or export an IGES file.

the error message is:
"Open I-DEAS initialization failed because ORB initialization timed out. The mos likely reason for this is that one of the Orbix services is not responding. It is recommended that you terminate I-DEAS immediately and check whether the Orbix services are working.
Clik Ok to terminate I-DEAS"

then, i have 2 options. OK or CANCEL. if i click OK, it close IDEAS, and if i click CANCEL, it closes the "warning window" and returns to I-DEAS.

what can i do to resolve this problem whithout reinstalling I-DEAS system again?

i´m runing it on a WXP SP2 and my user is de machine administrator.

ok, i´m refined this problem..

i´ve discovered that the problem was generated by the changing of machine name.

how can i change this setting and keep IGES working fine?

Hi,

you´re right, the problem is the machine-name in the scripts in %ideas%\Iona\OrbixE2A\etc\bin .
You´ll have to remove and reinstall the orbix-services.
