Orient WCS default

Is there a way to change the default under orient WCS. I goto Format then Orient and it defaults to Dynamic, i would like it to default to Inferred. I am using NX 6.0.3.6.

There is no way to change this default that I know of. Most dialogs 'remember' the option you chose last time, this is one of those which don't.

Other dialogs that I hope change are:

studio spline: drawing plane defaults to view plane rather than your last choice.

face analysis vector dialog defaults to 2-point (inferred would be a much better default if it won't remember the last choice).

The extrude dialog has a mix of 'remembered' options and defaults which can be annoying at times.

I'm sure there are others that need improvement.

What bugs me is in NX4 inferred was the default.

The inferred method may be better than you think! Try just setting your selection filter to curve or face and see if you don't like the results.

I like the way Inferred works. I dont like Dynamic.

No you're right. If I wanted to use dynamic I'd use the other icon that is specifically for Dynamic WCS manipulation! The sooner this is changed back or as Cowski say made sticky the better off we'll all be!
