I got my PE I 1984.

Those were the days when things were free. I still have a lot of good free books from US Steel & Bethlehem Steel.

This was free from John Boring, District Engineer, Asphalt institute. Still useful info.

Forgot about the Asphalt Institute. I had/have that publication. I just went to look for it, to no avail, but I came across my Southern Pine Manual c. 1975 by the Southern Forest Products Association.

We used to get free AISC Manuals from fabricators. This was in the early 60s.

I have a 1957 issue 5the edition of AISC Which Dominion Bridge gave out while I was in college ,,,, 4th Year.. It may be out dated LOL

I use my 7th Ed. of AISC quite a bit; a lot of useful info for steel detailing. Of course, it's only a matter of time before all of us are outdate engineering tools.
