Outdoor Arc Resistant Switchgear

Is anyone familiar with anyone that makes an outdoor rated Nema 3R Arc Resistant MV or LV switchgear. From what I can tell this does not existing in the market?

Is there a particular technical reason why it does not existing or is it just that testing standards have not caught up yet?

Some of these units can be specified to be compliant with "Arc Resistant construction certified to ANSI C37.20.7"

Look on Google, I am sure you will see it under Amazon.

We only purchase arc-resistant switchgear, and we have for years now, but not from Amazon.

Yes I am familiar with Arc-resistant switchgear and have applied it in multiple instances but its all been within an electrical room (arc exahasut to outside of room)

My question here is weather or not anyone makes arc-resistant gear that is outdoor rated and thus would not have to reside inside of an electrical room (or any other structure) similar to a N3R sheltered isle or isless outdoor lineup?

Recently did an arc resistant, NEMA 3R, switchgear search. No manufacturers that I'm aware of have a NEMA 3R rated lineup. If NEMA 3R is needed, it has to live in a house.

OK, they put the gear in a house that is the size that can be moved on a truck to your location.

We buy from Powell (not that I wanted to advertise them). We buy sheltered isle switchgear, with a battery room on the end.
It is made in Texas and trucked here with all the building certifications required by my state, and rated for the altitude of the location it will be placed.

The arc-resistant gear requires expensive testing, so the available enclosure options will be limited. I think the best approach is to buy it housed in an metal building. I suspect most vendors will be willing to quote this.
