Output FRF graph to matlab 1

Hi,

I made an FRF function in ABAQUS and would like to output the graph (or at least the max value in the graph) towards matlab.

Is it possible to script this in the .INP file such that it will output it in the .DAT file? As the .DAT file is what I can input in Matlab again for further processing.

Or do I have to script it in the .ODB file, if so, how?

You can use Report —> XY to save the data to rpt file. Or try with Abaqus2Matlab program.

Thanks for your response, but I would like to automate it and thus script it. Therefore, How can I script for instance in the input file that it will output the xy values?

Also, it's an iterative loop, which is not (yet) available in Abaqus2Matlab. Therefore I have to script it manually.

Try to request it with *Node Print and you'll what you get.

I'm not sure what you mean with scripting. If you enter the commands in the A/CAE-integrated Keyword Editor, then you can change the model and don't have to enter them again.

Otherwise you can not only use Python to automate A/CAE, but also generate the input file, add lines afterwards and submit the analysis outside of A/CAE. There are multiple options to do those things.

Yes, that's exactly what I meant with my question, what lines to put in the input file outside of A/CAE. Can you print FRF values of the magnitude and the phase straight from *node print? It would be even better to output the whole graph, such that I can import the whole graph in Matlab. Any ideas for that?
