Greetings;

We have a customer who is asking us to overmold a thermoset material (nitrile) onto a PEP (or equivalent) plunger that works in compressor applications. The plunger measures about 1" in diameter. Our thermoset molding process would require 6-8 minutes at a mold temp of 380F. Can this be done without distorting the plastic? Is there a bonding agnet suitable for bonding the two...

Nitrile is a rubber compound not a thermoset, and what exactly is PEP???
