Hi all,
My company is updating to Teamcenter 13.2 with active workspace.
In the past, when we've been on the Rich Client, I have been able to use override folders and revision rules in order to capture the state of an assembly. My rough workflow is like this:
- Identify a date when the assembly is very close to what I want to capture
- Use Teamcenter Snapshot functionality to make a folder that captures the assembly structure and each revision
- (If necessary) fine-tune the snapshot folder by adding/removing revisions. (This applies if we have long- or short-lead time items that might apply to different builds)
Once this folder exists, populated with the correct revisions, I can always go back and look at the state of an assembly as it existed at that time using Structure Manager.
I'm aware of Precise BOM, and that gets me most of the way there, except the fine-tuning needs to happen at save in NX (so any fine-tuning needs to happen beforehand, rather than after, and it's easy to accidentally override it by saving again).
Is there a way to do something like override folders in Active Workspace? I haven't really had much chance to play with the new TC and AWC yet.
Thanks!
