Is there a command to pack or combine all the same instances within an assembly.
In I-deas and UGNX I can do this but I have not found a way in Catia.
Lets say that your assembly has 100 screws that are all the same. In the assembly I see a long list of the 100 screws.
In the other software packages mentioned above you can have these grouped (packed) together so there is only one shown in the list with a number behind it showing the total.

Currently running Catia V5R21 and lower versions on Windows7.

Thank you
Jurgen

if you use the re-use pattern to define your instances there is an option that will allow you to store the instances in flexable component.

Not nearly as automated as in NX but you can add a new component to your product and manually put all of your screws into that. It won't give you the nice instance number display that you get in NX but it will allow you to collapse your main tree view, hide and show easily, etc.
