Paint/coating that changes color with moisture at different rates 1

Hi all, I'm looking for a coating that changes color when wet, and reverts back to original color when fully dry. I'm also interested to see if there are ways to manipulate the rate in which this change could take place - for instance, could coating 1 take x amount of days to dry/revert, while coating 2 takes 2x days to dry/revert. Any thoughts/guidance?

Thanks IRstuff.. hrm, that's an interesting area I could explore. Those are typically designed to retain the color change after drying as an indicator that they'd been exposed to moisture though, right? May not work for me, since ideally in my instance the color would revert to the "dry" state after a certain amount of time or the removal of moisture.

It is better to have enough ideas for some of them to be wrong, than to be always right by having no ideas at all.
