I was wondering if anyone has any hints on getting paint to stick to rubber its black checker plate and cant be sanded very well.

Recommended for you


1. Don't have high hopes for painting rubber.
2. Dye the rubber.
3. If paint is a must, don't expect it to last.
4. Look into epoxy based material.
 
Thanks for that i managed to find an Australian product called Dymark its a two part elastomer based paint works
really well unfortunatly it is expensive.

 
There was a product of Hypalon based latex paints available at one time which were very good because they had the properties to stretch with the rubber and to hold color. Those are the two properties which usually are a problem with painting rubber
