Hi, I am located in Australia. I am very keen on using Parallams for a project I have in mind, but am unable to find a supplier in Australia. Can anyone help me? Am willing to import from OS.

Paralam is the brand name of a product that is made by TrusJoist.

There are a number of other manufacturers that supply almost identical products.

Call your local building material supplier and I am sure he can guide you to a similar product that he sells. Then go to their website and get all the values you want.

Do a web search for I-Level. I think that is the trade name that trus-joist products are being sold under these days.

Maybe this report will help. The Parallams are a type of Laminated Veneer Lumber (LVL) I believe.

Structural glued laminated timber may be more readily available. And most often it is less costly than proprietary Parallam. Also, glued laminated timber can be manufactured to curved shapes.
