Good morning,

Je m'explique, on a des pièces qui on était crée en 2022 par exemple, aujourd'hui j'ai mis à jour mes attributs et mes expressions liées sur mon fichier de base.

How do I get these old parts up to date with my latest database? Is there a way other than recreating it or importing it into the new file? Any method to update the file?

Thank you and good day

are these old NX (or Unigraphics) files?

You should not have any problems opening old NX files in whatever version you are running now.
The first time you open them it may take a little while, but when it is saved it will be saved in the current version.
There is a utility you can run to upgrade all the files, and they will open up quicker, but I forgot the name of it.
I try to find the name of that utility, but someone will probably post it before I get back to you.

ug_refile_part.exe, I think, is the utility to update all files in a folder to the latest release. Each release of NX comes with its own version of the refile utility.
Like Jerry said, it is not needed. NX should open any NX/UG2 file back to V10 or even v9, so anything out there should open. When saved it will be at the version you are currently using. I used to have a batch file that would run against a folder and tell me which version all of the files were last saved in.

Thank you for your feedback,

My problem is not quite opening a part it works correctly. I will try to explain myself differently.

My request is about updating part attributes (see image). Today the only way I have found to bring this back into line with my new attributes is to either redo the part or import it into a new file. I would like to know if there is another simpler method.

I assume there is a good way to do this, but I don't know what it is.
This is a good question for the TAC, if you don't have access to it ask your administrator.

With Creo, we can run ModelCheck and have it update parameters. Does CheckMate (is that the right name) have that same capability?
