How can I find all the assemblies where the same part is used in?

Use SOlidworks explorer and browse to the file. THere is a "where used" column that shows all the files that reference the document

Oh yeah.. if you are using a PDM tool such as workgroup or Enterprise, you can also get that info from there, again browse to the file..

in workgroup you need to Right-click on the file in the pdmworks workgroup vault and select "document info" and then select the tab "where used"

In enterprise you just need to browse to the file in the vault, highlight it, and read the "where used" information tab.

SW Explorer relies on Windows indexing. Notoriously unreliable on network drives.

I have a tool that does a hard "house-to-house" search for where-used references. Slower but much more reliable. It will be published soon.
