Part table with zone area 1

Hi,

Is there any method to create a part list table with zone area of call out balloon in drawing. Please help.

Zone area callouts are only associative to view locations; if you need to note the location of balloons or other items they will need to be created manually.

It seems like this is an obvious missing feature from the software which could easily be implemented?

Everyone at my company manually enters the Zone Reference for each part in the parts list of their assembly drawings. When balloons move, these need to be manually updated, and that is a real pain. As such, it is always left until the very last moment to enter this information.

The software is clearly capable enough... I can place a note on a drawing, with '<W@$SH_SHEET_ZONE>' in its text field, so that it then displays the zone reference that the note is placed inside of. However I can't create a property within an object (e.g. a balloon) that contains its current zone location. This is all that would be needed, as the property could then be called in the parts list.

Posting because I think it's worth highlighting, and want to check I'm not missing anything.

You are not missing anything, the functionality isn't there. I opened an enhancement request last November asking for associative zone information for all drafting objects. If you contact GTAC, you can reference ER 7556509; the more people that request the functionality be added, the higher priority it will get (in theory, anyway).
